Spiral Wound Gasket
We have several machines for manufacturing spiral joints.
Thesealing elementof the spiral joint consists of a V-shaped metal coil and a softer filling material, such as graphite, mica, or PTFE.
The combination of these two elements provides waterproofing. Our standard joint thicknesses are 4.5 mm and 3.2 mm.
Our spiral joints have been laboratory tested for use with hydrogen and are therefore compatible with this medium. H2 READY
Depending on the conditions of use and the type of flange, the construction of spiral joints is adapted by adding inner and/or outer rings.

Spiral joint with guide(s)

Thanks to our stock of European-made inner and outer rings, we are able to produce standard spiral wound gaskets in accordance with ASME B16.20 and DIN standards.
We also have a large stock of sheet metal available for cutting non-standard rings or rings made from less common materials (special alloys), enabling us to meet all requirements for spiral wound gaskets with reinforcement.
Spiral joint without reinforcement

Our machines also enable us to produce spiral joints without reinforcement, used for double slip-on flanges.
Our machine park allows us to respond quickly to your spiral wound gasket needs, even for the most urgent requests (24 hours).

We have a large stock of sheet metal available for cutting non-standard rings or rings made from less common materials (special alloys), enabling us to meet all requirements for spiral wound gaskets with internal reinforcement.

Your custom-made spiral joints
In addition to standard stainless steels (SS304L, SS316L, and SS321), our large stock of strip steel includes more specific alloys to meet all industry requirements.
We have stock in SS310, Inconel 625, Inconel 825, Monel , Duplex, SuperDuplex, SS316 Titanium, Hastelloy C276, Titanium, etc.

In most cases, graphite packing is recommended. Other sealing packings are available and are used when graphite poses a risk of contaminating the medium.
It is also possible that the graphite is not chemically compatible or that the temperature exceeds the graphite’s operating limit.
