Ribbed seals (or Kammprofileseals) offer the same advantages as spiral seals. Their different construction, with a machined metal core covered with sealing material, allows for a wider clamping range. They are also more resistant and easier to handle than spiral seals, especially for large sizes.

We have state-of-the-art machinery for manufacturing grooved joints. We are able to produce Kammprofile joints ranging in size from 1/2 inch to over 4 meters in diameter. It is also possible to manufacture these joints with bars, which are used in particular for sealing tube heat exchangers.

Metal core

Available in thicknesses ranging from 2mm to 6mm, the metal body is generally made of stainless steel (SS316, SS304, SS321, etc.) or mild steel.

Recovery

Made primarily from graphite, this coating ensures a good seal even under low tightening conditions. This coating can also be made from PTFE, modified PTFE, mica, etc., when conditions require it.
