Mica and Thermiculite Gasket
When the sealing system operates at high temperatures, most common sealing materials are unsuitable.
It is therefore necessary to use high-temperature materialssuch as mica or Themiculite, which can seal at temperatures of up to 1000°C.
Our range includes four types of very high-temperature materials for flange gaskets based on mica or Thermiculite.
- Pure phlogopite mica and high-temperature binder (Temp). Its flexible structure gives it compressibility characteristics that are sought after in sealing applications.
- Pure phlogopite mica, high-temperature binder, and perforated SS316L stainless steel reinforcement (SARP). The addition ofperforated stainless steel reinforcementnot only improves the joint’s resistance to pressure but also makes it more rigid and therefore easier to handle.
- Thermiculite 715, fiber gasket made from expanded vermiculite, aramid fiber, and NBR binder
- Thermiculite 815, expanded vermiculite fiber gasket reinforced with perforated stainless steel sheet. Recommended for the most critical applications.
