Graphite Gasket
We offer our customers a wide range of graphite gaskets.
Graphite gaskets are made from expanded graphite sheet, reinforced or not with metal sheets.
Expanded graphite has many properties that make it one of the best materials for sealing:
Chemically resistant to most media(except strong oxidants)
- Stress retention ; Good elastic recovery and low creep at temperature. No aging phenomenon linked to the presence of an elastomeric binder, for example.
- A very wide temperature range : -196°C to 2500°C in an inert atmosphere, 450°C/550°C in air.
- Very high compressibility and low permeability to gases and liquids.
This type of joint is ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
Sealux keeps stock in:
- Pure graphite without reinforcement
- Graphite with nickel reinforcement
- Graphite with tanged insert reinforcement
- Graphite with smooth reinforcement/flat sheet metal
In addition to Eurograph®, we also distribute the Sigraflex Universal®, Hochdruk®, Economy®, and Standard® ranges.
